Climax Blueberry (Vaccinium virgatum ‘Climax’) – An early-season rabbiteye blueberry variety known for its heavy production of medium-sized, dark blue berries with a sweet, rich flavor and firm texture. Produces abundant clusters of flavorful fruit, making them excellent for fresh eating, baking, smoothies, jams, jellies, and homemade preserves. Features delicate white to pale pink bell-shaped flowers in spring followed by attractive green foliage that develops beautiful shades of red and orange in fall. Berries typically ripen in late spring to early summer, providing an early harvest compared to many other rabbiteye varieties. Vigorous, productive shrub that performs exceptionally well in Southern climates and tolerates summer heat. Prefers full sun and acidic, well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Grows approximately 6–10 feet tall and wide. Requires cross-pollination with another compatible rabbiteye blueberry variety for improved pollination and fruit production.
