Elberta Peach (Prunus persica ‘Elberta’) – A classic heirloom peach variety known for its large, golden-yellow fruit with a beautiful red blush and exceptionally sweet, juicy yellow flesh. Features a firm texture and freestone pit, making it easy to prepare for fresh eating, canning, baking, cobblers, and homemade peach preserves. Produces showy pink blossoms in early spring followed by heavy crops of fruit that typically ripen in mid to late summer. Vigorous, productive tree with good adaptability to Southern growing conditions. Prefers full sun and well-draining soil. Grows approximately 15–20 feet tall and wide. Self-fertile, so a second peach tree is not required for fruit production.
