Natchez Blackberry (Rubus ‘Natchez’) – An early-season, thornless blackberry variety known for its exceptionally large, glossy black berries and excellent sweet flavor. Produces firm, juicy fruit with a balanced sweetness and mild tartness, making it excellent for fresh eating, baking, cobblers, jams, jellies, and homemade preserves. Features beautiful white spring blossoms followed by heavy crops of berries that typically ripen in late spring to early summer. Vigorous, semi-erect, thornless canes make harvesting easy and maintenance more manageable. Prefers full sun and well-draining, fertile soil. Grows approximately 4–6 feet tall and wide and benefits from pruning and support as canes mature. Self-fertile, so a second blackberry plant is not required for fruit production.
