Arkansas Black Apple (Malus domestica ‘Arkansas Black’) – A prized heirloom apple variety known for its exceptionally dark red to nearly black skin and firm, crisp, golden-yellow flesh. Produces medium-sized apples with a mildly sweet, rich, slightly tart flavor that becomes even better after a period of storage. Excellent for fresh eating, baking, pies, cider, and homemade preserves. Features beautiful white to pale pink blossoms in spring followed by fruit that typically ripens in late fall. Vigorous, long-lived tree with good adaptability to a variety of growing conditions. Prefers full sun and well-draining soil. Grows approximately 15–20 feet tall and wide.
