Bartlett Pear (Pyrus communis ‘Bartlett’) – One of the most popular pear varieties, known for its large, bell-shaped fruit with smooth, golden-yellow skin and exceptionally sweet, juicy, creamy-white flesh. Excellent for fresh eating, canning, baking, pear preserves, and homemade pear butter. Produces beautiful white blossoms in spring followed by fruit that typically ripens in late summer. Vigorous, productive tree with good adaptability to a variety of growing conditions. Prefers full sun and well-draining soil. Grows approximately 15–20 feet tall and wide. Not reliably self-fertile, so planting another compatible pear variety nearby is recommended for better pollination and fruit production.
