American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana) – Beautiful native deciduous shrub known for its stunning clusters of vibrant purple-magenta berries that grow directly along the stems in late summer and fall. Features attractive green foliage and small pinkish-lavender flowers during the summer months. A favorite of birds and other wildlife, making it a wonderful addition to pollinator gardens, woodland landscapes, and naturalized areas. Prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-draining soil. Grows approximately 3–8 feet tall and wide, with a graceful, arching growth habit. Low-maintenance and easy to grow, with the option to prune back in late winter or early spring to encourage fresh growth and abundant berries.
