Powder Blue Blueberry (Vaccinium virgatum ‘Powder Blue’) – A popular rabbiteye blueberry variety known for its heavy production of medium-sized berries with a beautiful powdery blue coating. Produces firm, juicy blueberries with a sweet, rich flavor, making them excellent for fresh eating, baking, smoothies, jams, and homemade preserves. Features delicate white to pale pink bell-shaped flowers in spring followed by attractive green foliage that turns shades of red and orange in fall. Berries typically ripen in mid to late summer, providing an extended harvest season. Vigorous, upright-growing shrub that performs well in Southern climates and tolerates summer heat. Prefers full sun and acidic, well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Grows approximately 6–10 feet tall and wide. Requires cross-pollination with another compatible rabbiteye blueberry variety for improved fruit production, with Brightwell being an excellent companion.
